Black Jack

Black Jack is one of the most popular casino card games. In Rebuy Starts you can bet on a box from 100 CZK up to 20,000 CZK.

Black Jack

The goal of the game is to have a higher total than croupier. A player can stop at any two received cards or he can ask for another card up to the total of 21. If the combination of the first two cards is 10 + ace = Black Jack, the game ends and the box is paid out. The dealer must draw any time the total is 16 or less.

Card values

  • The value of an Ace is 1 or 11. It will always count as 1, if the total would exceed 21.
  • Pictures (J, Q, K) always have value of 10. All other cards count as their face value.

All bets must be inserted into boxes. The maximum amount of separate bets is 3 / 1 box.

The dealer gives one card into each box containing a bet and one card to himself. Then he deals a second card into the boxes. All cards on the table are placed face up and the players cannot touch them.

A player who is to play has the following options:

  • Hit – gets another card
  • Stand – the player won’t get another card
  • Double – the player doubles the bet and will obtain only one more card
  • Split – cards of the same rank can be split up 3x into two separate games, a player will add another bet to the original bet
  • Insurance – if the first dealer’s card is an ace, the dealer will offer insurance to the players, i.e. betting a half of the original bet at max. If the dealer has Black Jack, the player is paid out the insurance in 2:1 ratio, otherwise the bet loses.

Box control

  • A player must clearly express, verbally or through hand gestures, if he requires a card or if he wants to stand still (by a clear wave or using the index finger to point at the card).
  • A first player at the table is given priority over other players playing at his box, which is why he asks for cards, no matter how high the bet. This player is the “box owner”.
  • If the box owner decides to divide the cards (split), but the others refuse, they proceed with the game with the first combination of different cards.
  • If the box owner decides to double the bet and the others refuse, then only one more card will be dealt into the box.
  • If the box owner decides not to split and not to double the bet, other players at his box cannot do so either.
  • If the dealer has an ace, all players sharing the box can individually decide whether to accept the offered insurance.
  • One player can handle as many boxes as he desires as long as he doesn’t prevent other players from playing at the table.
  • Three players can play at one box as long as each of them bets the minimum for the table and if the total bet isn’t higher than the maximum of the given table.
  • If the total bet on a box gets higher than the table’s maximum, the box owner is given priority and the other players must lower their bets.
